>>106012386 No, don't need personally but it's one of his few ideas I do have time for. I'm not certain that all those satellites, at 5 year lifespan, make super commercial sense tho but whatever.
>>106012578 >Ruskies? friends of trump and musk. >Chinks? friendly with musk, though they'd jack ma him if he did anything fufnny. >Jews? friends of trump and musk.
>>106012616 Yeah, I'd like to take a deep dive into the numbers on that desu. Obv. he has related shit like SpaceX going on, otherwise, the cost of launching the satellies, limited lifespan, potential liability, yadda, etc. tldr, I doubt it's as 'profitable' - on a standalone basis - as it wold appear, minus other subsidies + probable glowie shit subvention, etc.

im just laughing thinking about all the very remote workplaces that use starlink.. all the fishing fleets, off shore oil rigs, mining camps, rural medicine.. all down because this african white devil retard can't implement a redundancy system or at least check the updates they throw aren't destructive.
Spoiler: it because of the T-Mobile expansion. Phones are now spamming connection requests and each one has priority to be relayed between sats to reach the ground station. The sat to sat relays are overloaded.
>>106013730 So they just forget to update their certificate? That is such a noob mistake and shouldn't happen when you're a real company with a periodic update policy (not just for certs but also software and firmware).

Kinda had me worried for an hour or so, but it was nothing. First real outage in 2 years is pretty damn good and it was only for an hour or so. Prior ISPs would have few hours/days off during each winter season due to crashes in electric pole and shutdowns somewhere.

>>106013730 >uhm this QUANTUM RESISTANT MILITARY GRADE CRYPTOGRAPHY is secure for 1500 trillion billion brazillion years against an attacker with more compute resources than earth can support!!! >the certificate revocation list MUST be downloaded to ensure that the certificate hasn't been compromised! >if the certificate doesn't expire in 3 months then you must reject it because that's a security risk
I just watered my gaden and did some cooking. Made some creamy pepper pasta for lunch. Came back an hour later.
You know that reminds me if shit hits the fan and the cities collapse and starlink internet goes down it would suck. I need games, I need books and most importantly porn. Imagine living for 50+ years without seeing a naked woman.

they still have more nines of reliability than my local Xfinity... my parents use it and it was down for about 3 hours. but the last time it was down was like 5 months ago. it'll only get better. crazy got latencies as of late too. 25ms!

>>106012363 I'm on Starlink. The dsl we used to use (the only available) would go down every time we had a dust storm, not sure why. It would be down for way more hours. And usually during big rains.
>>106017529 Its not just rural, these people do not pay their own ISPs at home from their cable lmao. Yearly outages from regular cable company for hours/days is the status quo. I mean either they have selective memory or they are kids without responsibilities and dont know how their own isps work.
