Those things will come to the West anyway. They don't want to be kind to us. France specialized in riot management (flash bang grenades, explosive grenades, armoured vehicles, various strategies and tactics, and so on), the UK specialized in citizen monitoring, Poland specialized in digital money (Digital Euro has been tested in Poland), China extensively tried connected cities and social credit, and so on. They develop things in different countries, the media don't talk about that or call them "conspiracy theories", and when the systems are ready, they push various idea everywhere and then the tech when people are ready.
One interesting bit of information: Companies like Thales (which is partly owned by the French state), have been working in and with China for decades to develop various tech, like Deep Pocket Inspection, facial and ID recognition, various centralized systems. They already have the whole "Digital ID and money" tech, what they need is to convince lots of people that it is required.
Nothing is new, all those things we see today have been planned decades ago, except for a very tiny amount of tech (like LLMs).
