I'm looking to get my PC off the floor. Any /g/ fags got their PC mounted like this, hanging from the desk? I'm no expert but it looks like it would make maintenance really difficult.

everything that deviates from simplicity is a meme.

That's going to be such a gigantic pain in the butt when you end up troubleshooting something that requires you to fiddle with something inside the case and then reboot and then fiddle with something inside of the case and then reboot and then

Overly complicated. Put a shelf underneath your PC.

I've got one for my standing desk, it's pretty neat. No issues with maintenance, I can slide the whole thing out if I need to fiddle in the back of the PC. The only impractical ones I can think of is ones I had at my old job, where they screwed straps to the desk and it would dangle.

it even gives airflow underneath the PC

Can you screw this into the desk upside-down?

no, but to be clear the shelves are adjustable. I lowered the middle shelf so it's only like 6 inches above the bottom shelf

I got mine off the floor by bolting on a pack of caster I bought online.

these desu
or rather i just took some wheels from a office chair and welded a shitty construction with 4 wheels from some scrap metal. works fine and keeps my bottom fan spinning and giving me some good airflow.

I'm thinking adding rails to ceiling around the house, then you could have a computer train going around

based. i got a slimmer frame one that can adjust both axis and has a large opening for airflow on the bottom

>get my PC off the floor
>only moves it up by 6"
???

put it on top of your fucking desk, or get a side table or wire shelving unit and put it on top of that

the only point of moving your PC off the floor is to reduce the amount of floor-based dust it sucks in

moving it up 6" isn't going to do shit

6 inches is quite a lot

when you or someone else or a pet walks by, that 6" isn't going to meaningfully change the amount of kicked-up dust that your intake fans suck in

I live in a basement and it occasionaly floods. I have to unplug everything and move it when heavy storms are forecast, but it doesn't always flood with every storm, so it's pretty annoying. I just need to keep it high enough off the ground to stay dry and prevent the snakes from getting in

>Can you screw this into the desk upside-down?

you absolutely can... the shelves will lock onto the poles upside down or rightside up. what you do is where the feet screw into the bottom, just get some of those adapter screws that are machine screws on one end and wood screw on the other. put them in the pole holes then drill pilot holes and screw them into the underside of the desk. what you can do is put a few shelves on the poles, put the screws in then push them into the wood to create a dimple then just drill those and they will line up perfectly.

I just bought a cheap monitor stand and put it on the floor below my desk, it's fine.

$12 on amazon.
Add rubber anti vibration pads on top of it.
Gives you airflow and the ability to easily get your pc out from under the desk.

Why would you bother spending even $10 on this rickety piece of recycled plastic? OP, you already have a cardboard box somewhere in your house you can put your computer on. Don't overcomplicate this.

I have mounted my mothers PC under the table like that. Yes it becomes very annoying to do anything INSIDE the case, without having to take it out of the mount. But depending on what mount you get, you can still take the side cover off while the PC stays.
