the metadata holds all that information, file names, file sizes, the hashes for each piece of the data to make sure you got the correct data, and all this is inside the torrent file

Since U2 is not really for general anime stuff, Bakabt is the best "private" general anime tracker after AB. It's many steps down and basically hasn't changed since 2003 and it shows. It's very soulful though. Animez is not even in the runnings. I think there's some other new anime themed tracker but it's curry as fuck.

My experience with streaming files off usenet (which easynews has had as a feature for...a long ass time) was that you often had to wait a few minutes before streaming would start and then you'd often get unlucky at some point in the middle that you have to buffer again. Search up people's experience with stremio and easynews together, I really don't think this is some "usenet killer" easy-peasy quality pirate streaming for the masses. That's what debrid services are for (and do excellently, nowhere near the buffering I experienced with easynews).
