>>106106398I got some minipc with a celeron and 4GB ram. It runs adguard, unbound, nextcloud, kavita, jellyfin, some static sites and a few other things. As the only user it is never under a heavy load. The power consumption is so low it's not even noticible in my electric bill. When I was first gaining interest in a server, seeing everyone complain about energy cost and spending thousands on equipment I didn't think this <$200 pc would be usable at all. But it seems like unless you're actually trying to host things for others, running LLMs, or you're trying to run a lot of VMs there's no need for anything more.
The only reason I plan on getting something else is for more is to build a smaller NAS since the pc doesn't have any drive capacity.
