that's incorrect, the 24H2 spin came out prior to the AM5 9000 series, I've benchmarked it and seen first hand that its in fact quite a bit slower in some situations.

Any other IoT users have this issue? When I lock my PC and it (eventually) puts the screen to sleep, after a while it'll make that USB disconnect and reconnect noise, turn the screen back on for a bit, before finally the screen goes to sleep for good. When this happens, many of the windows I have open get resized.. Never had this issue on any other version of Windows.

Well you're on the right track, I am using displayport with my LG monitor. But I'm on 11 IoT.
Is there a specific name for this behavior? I don't mind researching a solution, but its such a vague issue most of the threads I've come across have nothing to do with what I'm experiencing.

your issue sounds more like a monitor firmware bug with DP I think, I'd suggest looking in the OSD for autoscan or something similar. Though in regard to the windows resizing and stuff I guess Win11 LTSC doesn't contain the fix for that yet, I remember reading that it's been fixed in Win11 Pro because If I turn off / unplug my monitors and then re-plug them in again they will restore the windows to how they were initially. but I guess just search for "DP sleep disconnect sound" or something and see if anyone else has encountered the same shit.

i'm nooticing some very rare screen fullscreen flashing/flickering, i will try reinstalling my stinkpad's graphic drivers later and pay attention to see if it comes back, or it was something else that already got fixed somehow
otherwise i don't see anything worthy of note, people were making a huge deal about the taskbar and file explorer being slow, but it is just as smooth as windows 10's to me, i'm not autistic enough to notice if it is 1% better or worse though

You should be using a tool like process lasso anyways. I ended up writing my own tool for setting the CPU affinity of different games since some games performed better on the CCD without the extra cache.

I tried Linux. I gave it almost a whole year. My problem is that whenever I tried to run software that doesn't support Linux when I do get it to work it just becomes buggy every time.

So I'm moving back to Windows. And going with Windows 11.
Legitimately. It was fun distro hopping, but I can't be stuck in sunk cost fallacy land anymore and just have to bite the bullet and go back to Windows.

I would almost be inclined to agree but after having used 11 for a month now since building my new system I think it's gotten a lot better, 24H2 fixed most of the retarded things and so long as you disable the bloat it's just better in every way. dark notepad, fixed explorer bugs, windows remembering the position they were at when you disconnect monitors and reconnect them, and so on, all fixed in 11. are there newer bugs? sure but at least its not stuck in a permanently broken state like 10 is.
