I remember seeing a post that says "women love the idea of studying but not studying itself, this is why they spent time decorating their notebooks with all these cutesy colored pens, drawing grids and illustrations that actually gets nowhere. Meanwhile as a man you need to be very practical with these stuff if you want things to stick in your head. If you find yourself overwhelmed by these stuff (i.e. can't get past the phase of endless note taking) then you're ngmi."

how do westoids even manage to have a life like this? like, doing 9 to 5 that's entirely purely nothing with really short commute and you can spend your free time to do whatever. third worlder job requires lots of shit and the job itself has so much context switching, like monday you're doing frontend, tuesday you're editing spreadsheets, wednesday you're making postcards on canva, and thursday you're taking the boss' kids on a theme park, and friday you're doing backend. the job title? devops. not to mention the shitty 4 hour commute and abyssmal pay. why would the company hire a specialist when they can just overwork a desperate generalist doing his first job?

We don't, really. Most people are currently existing, not living. Why do you think the amount of births have plummeted?
Our governments don't see this as an issue, because they they can just import foreigners to make all the lines keep going up.

NTA, but he's 100% right. The brains of women are structured emotionally, not logically.
This makes it very hard for them to study outside of social environments. They particularly suck at practical courses.
Do note that I'm talking about most women. There are obviously exceptions, as there are with everything.

Literary studies and anecdotal evidence.

Here are a few related articles and studies on the matter:

This (unscientific) video is a fun primer on the subject:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ6mVumHY9I
While it's mostly played for laughs, the guy does mention one important thing:
Connect an event (or information) with emotion and you'll remember it forever (or at least, for a long time). This is why women are better at memorizing things than men.
And since our entire education system is based on remembering things rather than learning them, women tend to get better grades.

Here is your c# assignment for today neets
The goal of this exercise is to implement VLQ encoding/decoding.

In short, the goal of this encoding is to encode integer values in a way that would save bytes. Only the first 7 bits of each byte are significant (right-justified; sort of like an ASCII byte). So, if you have a 32-bit value, you have to unpack it into a series of 7-bit bytes. Of course, you will have a variable number of bytes depending upon your integer. To indicate which is the last byte of the series, you leave bit #7 clear. In all of the preceding bytes, you set bit #7.

So, if an integer is between 0-127, it can be represented as one byte. Although VLQ can deal with numbers of arbitrary sizes, for this exercise we will restrict ourselves to only numbers that fit in a 32-bit unsigned integer. Here are examples of integers as 32-bit values, and the variable length quantities that they translate to:

NUMBER VARIABLE QUANTITY
00000000 00
00000040 40
0000007F 7F
00000080 81 00
00002000 C0 00
00003FFF FF 7F
00004000 81 80 00
00100000 C0 80 00
001FFFFF FF FF 7F
00200000 81 80 80 00
08000000 C0 80 80 00
0FFFFFFF FF FF FF 7F
This exercise requires you to use bitwise operations.

public static class VariableLengthQuantity
{
public static uint[] Encode(uint[] numbers)
{
throw new NotImplementedException("You need to implement this method.");
}

public static uint[] Decode(uint[] bytes)
{
throw new NotImplementedException("You need to implement this method.");
}
}
