A computer wrote this. Not just the parsing, the entire thing. How are you still coping?

A computer wrote this.

/g/ programming challenge, in 100 lines (100 semicolons or equivalent after macro expansion) of c with no libraries write a parser that renders "let energy be mass times light speed squared" as "E = mc^2"

so a parrot can repeat things that it has copied from the internet.
impressive.

I started to let go of my juniors one by one since GPT3.5, as the writing on the wall was clear then. There has been zero reduction in productivity and we're saving hundreds of thousands per year now. Meanwhile in the tech workers general they're all wondering why they can't get jobs (but would never confess that AI is playing a role in that, despite every CEO openly boasting about how much of a role it's playing)

No a computer parsed "let energy be mass times light speed squared" and rendered it into "E = mc^2"

How does introducing error through natural language (mis)interpretation help the development process?

I don't see any parsing of natural language on that website, do you have a more direct link?

If by natural language you mean faggot tier jeet iq that needs gpt to break a concept down into words that an 85 iq subhuman can understand, no.
Now fuck off jeet.

Also that isn't a natural language but rather a bug in a poor/naive (and racist) formalization of natural language called "English Grammar"
Anonymous No.106124297 [Report]
To the best of our knowledge quantum mechanics accurate describes the function of a human brain, therefore in principle there each human brain is translatable into an example of a formal system that understands natural language. The question is if there exists simpler models that will allow us to translate the functions of the human brain we care about to a formal system.
Anonymous No.106124298 [Report]
>>106124181
it's not that simple when it comes to any spoken or written language. when you add up one word meaning a few things depending on context or whatever, there's many other words in the language that are also the same. it becomes a very big problem and large language models aren't trained with this in mind because it's complicated and would require specific training data to be fed into it. i was watching some retard aussie faggot on tv a few days ago, some techbro, and he was like:
> yeah nah we're not going to create new models all the time
> too expensive!
> we'll just keep using what we already have
ai is already fucked when you have low iq morons that don't want to evolve the tech, they want to make as much money as they can off current tech. because making specific models is prohibitively expensive. not only that, it has become much harder to scrape the internet after people discovered jews like sam altman, musk and kike zuckerkike stealing their shit.

You're dumb for thinking this is profound. And an idiot for not immediately rejecting it as bullcrap because of the inherent ambiguity to human languages.
If I were you I'd be very embarrassed for opening this thread.

and here we see the jeet attempting to throw shit at the wall until someone is confused enough to support his stupid street shitting ideas.

And actually most if not all functions they can be described in terms of classical physics. Which makes the problem much easier still impossible with out a simpler model though.

you'd be amazed if you knew just how many knuckle dragging meth ingesting primates think this tech is so complicated that nobody understands how it works except for jews like sam altman and co. they think every response it gives is profound and intelligent. when one is dumber than sand, this word salad is just amazing.

it is. unfortunately nobody is being educated about how these systems function. all i hear about is people making money off of it and valuations of corporations. it's a deliberate dumbing down of society so they can be controlled by these jew corporations. just hand over your money for magic beans supplied by openai. i can't wait for tech to evolve to the point where it pushes these ai techbro faggots into bankruptcy because they'll no longer be needed.
