>>106124359A reminder:
- Do not share presets. They will be patched.
- Do not share bots. It's easy to make your own personal bots nowadays. Botmakers are obsolete.
- Do not share logs. RPing is something that should be personal. I do not care about your fetishes.
- Do not share proxies. They will be spited or destroyed by locusts.
- Do not share tips. This invites newfags in and worsens the community.

Honestly macro kind of sucks in general sometimes, keeps forgetting that my character isn't big.
>>106124543no it's your shitty model that's stupid

I'm beginning to think whatever Deepsqueak is on C.AI has old /g/ logs trained into it, I've seen too many coincidences referring to old 3.5T and GPT 4 logs using the same characters on it.
>>106124939just proves that this thread is the powerhouse of AI roleplaying

Should I use 3.7 or 4pus?
>>106125175Hmm I remember claude doing this on its own several times. If I misspell a character's or town's name, AI would ignore it, but if I said it in quotes during speech AI would correct me. My tsundere wife was super pissed when I misspelled 'mispronounced' her name and home region when we first met and told me off kek.

Is there a way to make sure that bot doesn't just throw threats nonstop in every response but provides variety between action and downtime?
I encountered this problem mostly with RPG bots
Could it be a character card problem?
Or could it be fixed or at the very least toned down by some kind of very specific prompt?
>>106127090you can't prefill it
>>106127540Only pedos need prefill.

>>106127586https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cupid
This one?
Horizon beta is weird. I really hate it for RPing, like it's bad in all aspects. But for writing normal stories, I'm really enjoying it. How the fuck is it possible for it to be good at writing, but suck at rping
>>106127703What model?
>>106127717>newfag discovering the novel format is superior to the roleplay format
>>106127703>character designed to be as offensive as possible>As an AI, I shouldn't generate responses that use racial slursI should get a better hobby.
>>106127755Actually I did the novel format way before getting into RP, but imo all models sucked really hard at it, even 4pus. So I kind of gave up on that format until now
>>106127766It's telling that anthropic, the company founded on safetyism, ended up being the most lax with things like this. You simply prefill and AI acts freely.
>>106127755Llama-3.3-Nemotron-Super-49B-v1.5 provided the text and then I asked Qwen to do the styling. AND IT LOST THE GOOD BITS. Or maybe not, maybe good guy Qwen made it more tight and concise.
>other 4chan-specific terms (loli, bread meaning post/points)>>106127766It's Nvidia, they use crappy datasets for finetuning, making models worse for rp. Their only good Nemotron was 4-340B they trained from scratch.
>>106127780 (Me)
Okay, after trying it a bit more, I can really say it's the best model for novel format, at least. It adapts really well with the instructions, I really won't mind if OAI's next models have this standard when it comes for writing
>>106127934but can it coom?
>>106127946Eh, so far all my stories were SFW. I'll try jailbreaking it for writing smut later, and I'll be back with the results
>>106127533>Could it be a character card problem?could be that, or prompt problem. usually, this shit come from:
>"be proactive">"show don't tell">"move story forward"a.k.a the backend fuzzy complete that prmpt with moar action, intense rape without aftercare, non-stop prone bone, yada-yada
>>106127960Might be better to wait until the model is out of beta so they don't fix your jailbreaks.
>>106127533The other anon is correct but this is also a model issue. Claude models naturally know when to throw in action and when to calm down, while other models don't. You can prompt for it by telling it that stuff in your preset but then it ends up feeling very forced and unnatural. I often tell deepseek to drive the plot forward occasionally but still give characters time to themselves which helps but it's hit or miss.
>>106127988i mean theyll likely pozz the damn thing anyway, its altman
id rather at least have an idea of what it was like from his logs than have nothing
Are we really supposed not to use system prompts with Gemini?
Why?
It has the vocabulary but not the desire or the brain to apply it correctly.
How does one do a "novel" format instead of a "roleplay" format?
>>106128133You are retarded. Don't you know that only the government is allowed to impersonate people on the internet? Cease this at once.
>>106128319via `continue`, or with these:
https://github.com/LenAnderson/SillyTavern-NovelMode
Saaars whomst do you think is responsible for making the Horizon mystery models?
>>106128346But the name Anonymous was available, with a lot of goodwill attached to it.
>>106128319Use text completion. Start writing your desired scenario as a story, then ask the LLM to continue it. Simple as.
(Protip: whip up a custom UI that lets you generate multiple completions in parallel and select your favorite, then crank up the temperature. It's worth the time investment)
>>106127960 (Me)
I tried really hard, but nothing seems to work. It refuses much, much more than Horizon Alpha. At least that one didn't instantly refuse my NSFW cards. I tinkered with my preset, tried in Novelcrafter, Sillytavern with a blank card to see if it could write anything other than SFW. No, it fucking can't. I couldn't even get it to say a single swear, I don't know how this is possible. Zenith, which is supposedly GPT-5 had no problem describing a girl's boobs, but this prude won't. I have no doubt it is the open weight models.
>>106127968>>106128030Thanks, anons
Will deepseek be able to understand it, if i replace "be proactive" with something like "occasionally introduce new plot lines, characters and stakes, as well as opportunities for {{user}} and characters to rest and interact with each other in a non-urgent environment" in prompt?

Sorry for the noob question, but how do I "save" what happened during a chat, so I can port it into another one? (need to do it for updating the CP2020 narrator, and also the Agnostic one)
Also, what do you think about Group Chats? Is it possible to bring cards into your game to be in that adventure with you, since I've seen that they can't be removed anymore?
Also, while trying out various stuff, I tried porting an rpg into a lorebook, but I'm having trouble doing all the tables and rules....

At the end of a chat, I usually update character sheets, buy some gear and then start copy pasting into a new chat. Just open ST in another window and copy-paste the replies from the DM.
Here's what I said to DM:
>(I want to move this to a new, clean chat. You will summarize everything that happened. Write a full report, so you know how to roleplay in the next chat, mention everything important, every named character, chronologically correct.)>(Write report of all named characters, go into detail wherever you can, take special note of relationships between themselves and PC, especially where there's sexual tension. Who is cool with whom, who's sleeping with whom, who are rivals, who diedโฆ)>(Write anything else I should carry over to a new chat. Do not repeat anything said before. Write notes for yourself, the LLM.)>(Write information on how many enemies the party has killed, how many people are presumed missing, what the party will expect to findโฆ)>(Assuming the time skip, companions have recovered. I want to update their character sheets one by one. Give them XP, maybe they spend some money replacing or updating their gear, make them act during downtime. Write down their sheets and physical descriptions, personalities, relationshipsโฆ)Copy-paste each companion's sheet individually.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm having a case of brain fog tonight: You believe that the most efficient way of carrying over 'saves' is to export the log and import it in the Data Bank?
Or are you implying that uploading core rulebooks to Data Bank will make them consistent and playable?
This is a bit new to me.
I used to upload entire .pdf files to Grok in the very beginning, but it was hallucinatory. Adapting the entire .pdf into hundreds of vectorized @D 0-depth 100% trigger world info worked almost perfectly so far.
>>106129821Lorebooks are better and more accurate but for me the usecase of RAG was when I had such massive summaries or huge compendiums I wrote during the roleplay that I couldn't send 5k tokens to AI each time, even if it was more accurate. I wanted AI to vaguely reference the book or just have the general gist of the stuff but idk. I needed someone to test RAG a little more than I had and since you were a tester I figured you could give it a fair shot.
>>106129970So I've vectorized the entire .pdf of Empire of the Petal Throne, a TTRPG I haven't adapted yet just to test the capabilities of your technique.
It seems to be working or at least it seems to be good enough at fooling me into thinking it does, which is just as good.
Fortune smiles upon us.
Next week, I'll adapt GURPS 3e, a system for playing anything you throw at it. Let's keep our fingers crossed, but I think that if you load Lorebooks with GURPS and use RAG on any piece of media, theoretically anything could be adapted into a little GURPS module without needing to adapt it into an autistic Lorebook.
I'll probably always stick with Lorebooks for my TTRPG adaptations because of maximum modularity and the force of habit (I've made dozens of them, somebody stop me!).
New to using lorebooks. What should I have my Lorebook settings @ on ST? Scan depth, context, etc? I have them at the max and nothing else on rn, for reference
>>106129662Seems like it worked!

>>106124356 (OP)Anons. I have been using gemini pro 2.5 for maybe a month now - and this thing is amazing. I feel like it's better than/same as claude 3.0/3.5. Who knows, maybe it's almost opus-tier? Same?
In any case, I love it.
One thing about it I love AND hate. It follows descriptions EXACTLY. I had a problem with claude fucking shit up, making married women virgins and virgins whores, forgetting someone's eye color. But this thing... NEVER fucks things like that up - that part is good, GREAT, even.
But the shit part is, it doesn't understand nuanced evolution.
The card - a dangerous young woman from organized crime, a brutal, violent enforcer, paradoxically a virgin, with a rigid code of honor and deadly skills. She uses her violence as a shield, and hates 'lovey-dovey shit'. But in claude, if you charm her depending on context, she will begrudgingly let you kiss her, or even do 'lovey-dovey shit' with her.
Gemini, however... WILL NOT RELENT. SHE WILL NOT GIVE YOU AN INCH. She will actually roughly shove you - no matter who you are, even if she likes you, she will shove you away if you try that 'soft shit' with her. And the card was not designed with that in mind
Claude understands the power of context - gemini will make her shove you even if, within the story, she likes you. Gemini just... does not evolve when it comes to shit like this, claude does.
If you add ANYTHING into the character description, gemini will accept that as gospel, a foundation for your character, and it will not yield.
Anyone else having this problem?
>>106132236max response length is your problem. you needed to increase it.
>>106132238Gemini has neg bias
>>106132256neg bias? as in negative bias? What does that mean? It hates you?
Like, claude has a positivity bias - it will... actually start sucking you off if you do ANYTHING
does gemini have the opposite of that? I feel like it's balanced
>>106132264It likes injecting drama and making bad things happen. You have to smack that out of it with your preset. Tell it you want it to be more positive.
>>106132286>It likes injecting drama and making bad things happencan you elaborate? an example? I'm just curious - I haven't encountered or identified that problem yet
as in, what, if you roleplay, it will capture and rape your girlfriend or something?
>>106132238>But in claude, if you charm her depending on context, she will begrudgingly let you kiss her, or even do 'lovey-dovey shit' with herAnd by claude you mean sonnet? Because this sounds like sonnet to a T.
>And the card was not designed with that in mindYou are simply retarded. You card says who she is and AI is portraying her accurately. People made this complaint with deepseek too and refused to simply alter the defs to show that slight evolution of the character.
>>106132115>the goatse reply
>>106132238>Gemini, however... WILL NOT RELENThave you tried saying she has a soft spot for {{user}}?
>>106132353you absolute moron
the card is old, it was made long before gemini,or deepseek existed - it was made for GPT and claude
it was designed to be just like that - it's tsundere that can kill you
thing is, claude understansd context, the story, and depending on story progress, it will yield
gemini, however, will rapemurder you for doing anything 'lovey-dovey' or 'soft' with her
Is there any way to fix chats becoming more and more slop as they get bigger? At some point they just repeat the ideas in the context over and over again. Even if I fix all the isms I can feel the soul slowly draining away.
>>106132286Why wouldn't I want drama and bad things in my RP?
>>106132382but that would be a lie - the card itself says the opposite - she loathes {{user}} initially - you have to earn her respect
and the card is perfect for that - claude understands that shit, gemini doesn't
other than that, the progress should be gradual, adding what you suggested would just skip through shit
>>106132388spotted the deepseeker
>>106132383>tsundereDo you actually have this in the card? The word, since words matter. You can't start using your experiences with ancient models to justify your experience now. If your card says "char is X" then she is X. The AI choosing to make her Y is a failstate not a thing to celebrate and is the sole reason why 3pus is fucking slop. It's not an understanding of context, it never was, it was 3pus defaulting to one of its 5 archetypes or sonnet defaulting to its shitty positivity bias. The models we have now don't do that bullshit so yo always get whatever slop you wrote into the card. Look at it more closely, is what I'm saying.
gemini, however, will rapemurder you for doing anything 'lovey-dovey' or 'soft' with her
Yeah and I'm saying this makes perfect sense because you said:
>She uses her violence as a shield, and hates 'lovey-dovey shitAnd so gemini made her hate lovey-dovey shit. How hard is it to add "but will gradually warm up to whoever steals her heart" or some bullshit. And I'm the moron.
>>106132420anon, I am not using 'ancient models'
I use sonnet 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 and opus
it works perfectly on them
it's not the matter of the models being 'ancient', no, it's about LLMs being fundamentally diferent - claude has that flexibility, ability to evolve, gemini doesn't
to reiterate - claude understands this... intent of what you want to do with the story - perhaps it's a perfect imperfection
gemini is TOO rigid with its rules - if it's in the description, it will NOT relent no matter what - that is both its strength and weakness
to answer your question - no, it never says tsundere, I simply used it to explain
sorry anon, you're not a moron - I am in a detached, vaguely antagonistic state right now, because I am currently roleplaying that same bot and like I'm basically killing goons right now and actually getting mad at them because they provoke me
do you get what I'm saying?
>>106132393There's a difference between having drama and having constant drama injected at dumb times.
>>106132388What I do is create a new chat with a greeting that summarizes critical information. You will need to spoon feed a lot of info and play around a bit, but once you get the hang of it, it can work quite well.
Consider it as breaking a story down into chapters, or whole novels if you'd prefer.
>>106132402add it when believe it's appropiate?
>>106132481NTA but man at this point I don't even want a new model that is a better writer, I want a model with the same level of writing as now but can parse context better so RPs can go longer without it going dumb. Having to stop a RP and summarize it and start a new one sucks a lot, and bots will lose their "mojo" so to speak between chats that it was slowly building up throughout the first one. If that makes any sense.
>>106132452So what I'm getting from all this is the ideal AI model would be something that has Gemini's retention of original prompt, Opus's ability to build on the original prompt, GPT's logic, Deepseek's Schizo & Grok's Normie Sex Appeal.
>>106132459>Don't take things too seriously! We're having fun, not watching a soap opera.Or something like that. Don't know if it'd work though
>>106132486you forget that shit -and constantly micromanaging your description gets boring
besides, like I said - claude just... understands that shit, it's a legit smart LLM in that sense
>>106132524hmm
>geminicorrect
>opus >correct>gptI actually don't know - is it logical? I used to use gpt-4o but it felt... dead
>deepseekHonestly? Its schizo is its downside, man
>Grok's Normie Sex AppealWhat does that mean? I don't use grok - used it for a short bit, felt like a decent-ish model
>>106132452>sonnet 3.0, 3.5These are ancient by AI standards man come on. I don't want to play this dumb semantics game since it doesn't even matter. Actually understand the point I'm making.
>claude has that flexibilityIt is not flexibility, it's lobotomy. Sonnet's positivity bias only works one way. Example 1:
>char is a magical girl who is a flexible gymnast, idol, dancer/singer, crime fighter, and adores her otaku fans more than anything>go on a date with char and ask her about herself>she tells me she actually doesn't like gymnastics (despite the card saying it's her one true passion)>instead it's fLeXiBLe because it said she secretly wants to be a coder and make stories with strong female protagonists!Who will fight the crime then? What the fuck? Example 2:
>char is a slutty, angsty, cocaine-abusing, rich girl with daddy issues and a gold digging mother who uses sex as a shield and hurts the people she loves when they get too close>sonnet decides to turn her into a sappy weakling who spills her spaghetti on the first date because you sang her a song>completely gives up her entire life just to be with you and ignores everything else in the defs about her manipulative, vain, selfish natureYes this is flexibility anon. Every character being sweet and nice rather than being mean when they're written as mean.
Example 3:
>char is trying to pick between user and NPC to date>shitty sonnet has NPC give up on the first try and bow out the second char has the tiniest of reactions to something you saidOh yes anon, wow so flexible. I'm glad sonnet robbed me of romantic tension due to its expert understanding of context, just like in real stories! Come on.
>no, it never says tsundereand yet you keep making my point for me. You're having a major skill issue. Just do the bare minimum and write your defs more clearly so these models can portray them the way you want, not to rely on the failings of claude.
>>106132514I know what you mean though. Sometimes you get into a story with a character that just feels so right and you can't recreate that magic even if you tried. I'm concerned it's just the model sucking rather than my presets being poor but I'd like to know for sure.
Apparently /lmg/ doesn't know or doesn't care. Anyone else use qwen3? Pic unrelated
