The only language I currently know is Python, and I have always wanted to learn something else (I want to make a living from this, my college degree is not in CS and I'm self-taught).

As I like blockchain, I've been wondering which of these two I should learn, Rust or Solidity? Solidity is more common these days but Rust can be used for more things outside of Web3, and it is not as common to dominate it, which is why it could get me paid more.

Please help me.

Yes I am white but I don't really know if it makes sense for me to learn C++, as stupid as this might sound.

Shouldn't I be trying to learn something that not as many people are good at? If I learn C++ I'll just be a guy who knows C++ but doesn't even have a college degree in CS, I literally got a Business Degree.

I thought learning Rust could separate me from the rest and help me land a great job here in Germany.

Solidity is a high-level programming language specifically designed for writing smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain and other EVM-compatible platforms. It's a statically-typed language, meaning that the data type of variables must be declared at compile time. Solidity is inspired by languages like JavaScript, Python, and C++, making it relatively accessible to developers familiar with those languages.
