looking at some quotes from the article.
>My website thrives and doubles in size each year, primarily thanks to Section 230. I can allow my users to say almost anything they want without having to worry about being sued for what they say. Without these essential protections, I would not be able to host in the United States
I don't know if section 230 would actually protect kiwifarms if you brought up the right details in court. Like the various statements of null saying he would allow cowtipping or him saying he approved of a trolling campaign.
>Payment networks must be regulated to give fair access.
>Section 230 is essential and modifying it harms online speech.
>Big tech does not need Section 230, but you do.
Null can be right about a lot of things, but I suspect he only cares about this stuff because it affected his creepy stalking forum. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think he acts in good faith. For example, Null's right about cloudflare protecting worse sites, but he's completely at fault for being dropped by them.
The reason he's dropped from payment processors is slightly different from the recent push for media censorship. The games being hidden by steam are legal.
Kiwifarms is in a legal gray area at best, and arguably illegal given some details. They are only a few steps above cybercrime forums. I think financial institutions dont want to do business with either type of site for the same reason.
>You should learn how to use cryptocurrencies right now.
This I am skeptical of. Most people don't have an actual use for them and they are less user friendly than regular forms of commerce. You still have to be able to convert them back to regular money if you want to buy most shit you need.
Null actually faced problems in this area since very few crypto exchanges wanted to do business with him and would ban people for sending money to him.
