I dunno if there's more of these hacks or not so share them if there are.,,But, on Windows, if you put a new .TXT Text Document file on your desktop and in the first line type in uppercase .LOG and then save the file. The next time you open it, it will have the date and time you opened the file. Every time you open it afterwards, the date and time are updated accordingly.

These are my thoughts...
It's great when getting phone calls at work and you need to take notes on the fly while someone is blabbing to you. Works great in class too when you're just taking notes during lectures.
Of course you can then save it and do whatever with it...print/copy/pasta/email blah blah blah.
It's a ghetto note taking app when you don't have a dedicated app for that.
