But they aren't though. Your core premise is wrong. US corporations are willingly and voluntarily censoring american citizens because they see the way the wind is blowing.

My plan is to... well I shouldn't say my plan but it will involve using the internet less. Keep as much privacy as possible and if I'm simply not able to keep my privacy online I will just keep it to the bare minimum. Banking, paying bills, that sort of thing.
