This is the shitty part of linux linux people dont want to admit

Like discord is out of date on windows, right? I click it to launch and it updates. Because who gives a shit.

On linux? You have to download the executable to a folder, and then give it permissions to run, then log in to discord again. Turning discord updates (frequent) into a constant never-ending chore.

You can make ubuntu, mint, popos, whatever. The system is designed to be a secure castle, a server under constant threat, not a personal PC no one gives a shit about.

Just use Fedora, it's pretty good.

I did and it kept freezing. Fuck your subhuman bloated corpo shit. Then i switched to Debian 12, current OS, which is more stable, as expected. The jack problem persists

I don't give a shit, it looks retarded anyway. Debian with gnome feels much smoother, lighter and more stable

Fair enough, as a human being with taste, I can't say Debian is bad. It's solid, no doubt. Personally, Fedora has been treating me really well. But hey, to each their own.

I remember this.

Then, after reinstalling my system, I had installed it from Flatpak first, logged in there, now it's updated along all the other flatpaks from the update manager in Mint itself.

Now that's pretty much a non-issue.
I wouldn't really want Discord to be native app anyhow.
Win-win.

wow they should totally integrate that into linux distros designed to be casual OS's. Oh wait, they didnt. There's probably some weird debate about it or whatever on some forum. Meanwhile on windows, it just works how it should by default.

Great failure.

? I update discord (on linux mint) by opening the fucking update screen and hitting update.

I have thumbnails but only for images, not for video files, so I have to open file manager and then look for the dame file and then open it to confirm it is indeed the video file I want to post. Mint should be updating to a newer GTK 4 version some day and all that should be fixed. Soon hopefully

Also what do you mean by "personalised power settings" exactly?
And also I meant file preview. It has thumbnails for every thing i'm pretty sure. Just preview doesn't work for video files

wtf are you talking about?
i just enter discord into the software manager, click install and done.
it's even less work than it was in windows, where you'd have to download the installer and run it and then pick your correct installation folder, because it otherwise would shit everything in windows full of shitty defaults, you'd have to sanitize basically everything.

actually, come to think of it, ur a retard
go fuck yourself
i remember windows installers shitting root folders of drives full of their temporary extracted files
and it doesnt really matter if it was a retarded user or the installer itself, to make my point clear

i mean, windows has its merits, but ur actually too retarded to realize them and are just parroting some bullshit youve heard, or ur just baiting

derp, i already wrote what i wrote, kys

Oh yeah, and in Windows, it'll shit you AppData folder full, never clean itself up, and never really install itself; the .exe literally RESIDES in AppDATA. DATA. APP. DATA.

Fucking retards.
I'm only using it cause you're the weirdo if you don't want it in something as "innocent" as fucking counter-strike.

It's a DISGUSTING. "APP" with DISGUSTING. "clientรฉl."
Go fucking fuck yourself in the face with paper towel and plastic burrito.
