Arch AUR
Why doesn’t the AUR have better safeguards for verifying user-submitted scripts, especially ones that run obscure or potentially risky commands on someone’s system? The more I hear about packages containing malware or sketchy behavior, the less trust I have in the AUR. Honestly, it makes me want to stick to the official Arch repos and avoid the whole mess.
Even something as simple as a filter would go a long way. Right now

This is why I use gentoo. The Gentoo User Repository (guru) is for like one or two things max as they have packages for everything.

The entire model of getting all your software from 'repositories' is flawed

The point of the AUR is that random people can choose to maintain their own packages. If you want safeguards, use the official repo
Why the hell would you expect the same standards as someone getting paid, like at microsoft? Are you stupid?
