Since programming is over and SWE is on its way out, is pivoting to ultra low level coding (assembly, microcontrollers, OS, etc.) a good idea or will that disappear too?

How many companies still even use that?
Today it's common to just buy a cheap ARM processor, run Android on it and on that run a WebView app displaying the touch screen interface for your washing machine, or whatever.

Even regular microcontroller dev is trivial now with esp32 being standard and arduino ide. Now with AI tm it's even easier
