Since programming is over and SWE is on its way out, is pivoting to ultra low level coding (assembly, microcontrollers, OS, etc.) a good idea or will that disappear too?

Today it's common to just buy a cheap ARM processor, run Android on it and on that run a WebView app displaying the touch screen interface for your washing machine, or whatever.
