just become a swe, you'll hate technology, as simple as.
since I became a swe I've been aware of the absolute dogshit code that run on various kind of devices and it disgusts me to the point that I don't want to use them.
just sit back and take a look at how devices around your work, you'll see absolute non-sense and bugs everywhere, give me your car or tv for 5 minutes and I'll make them glitch, it's incredible how bugged these things are, same for your phone, ever had to put your phone in airplane mode for a second because the network was out but the icon ws still showing connectivity? that's a bug, probably 100% of android smartphones have them, you just get used to them so you don't see them anymore.
your company laptop struggles to connect to the vpn and you have to play with wifi connectivity? a bug, your linux desktop does not recognize this ethernet cable you just plugged in? NetworkManager bug for nearly a decade, no one cares, will never be fixed. dhclient not releasing a lease? yep, a two decades old bug, no one seems to care, sysadmin just put dhclient -r in their scripts as if it's normal (it's not) and so on, the list is basicaly infinite because all devices SUCK and I hate them.
the less electronic in my life the better, keep the pajeetery out of my fucking life.
