Why are you still using SSDs?

Who the fuck buys used ssds?
If you insist on being a schizo terrified of someone trying to recover data off your waste just take a big file and copy it until the drive is filled, delete everything and do it again

If you must hide your illegal activities you should all ways be physically destroying the hardware. Same applied to HDD

If you're so scared about it still storing data that is erased then hit it with a hammer a few times. As for me, I delete a file and the space is freed up to store something else, works on my machine.

They put Hans Reiser in jail.
And removed his file system from Linux. (it was working fine till they day they deleted it)

Then they laughed "lol how many wallpapers can we fit in the 100kb reiserfs was taking up"

I have a pile of HDD's and SSD's slated for data destruction that I use for targets when we go out to the gun range.
12ga slugs make some pretty cool impacts on spinning platter drives.

If you're that paranoid physically destroying a couple of flash memory modules is very easy. Much much easier than magnetic drives.

you can erase them by writing /dev/urandom to them instead of /dev/zero, your ssd can't really do much to "optimize" that
i think people in the past also didn't really trust mechanical drives to be truly erased due to remaining magnetism, if that's how you feel there's not much to be done
