>truly independent
run by mentally ill people who won't suffer any legal consequences if they fuck up or do something evil

privacy must be why firefox now has chatbots directly integrated, and the relevant privacy policy is that of their (((partners)))
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ai-chatbot#w_learn-about-chatbot-providers
>run by mentally ill people
mozilla is literally Troon-DEI Inc. Only the Gnome foundation might have a slightly higher amount of mentally ill employee per capita
it's time to admit that firefox has fallen, and only Pale Moon is truly pursuing its legacy

go off and keep sucking google until they inject personalized ads directly in your colon then, but not everyone else is as stupid as you
the adnauseam situation is regrettable, however you can still install it manually forever (just like it was removed from the chrome add-ons store, as you conveniently forget to mention)

LMAO

But I've been using it for years, it's comfy

It's comfy because it's basically old firefox. I think I started using it when FF did some major redesign I disliked. I still use it often and I'm glad to see others who like it.

Yeah? I just installed it, installed uBlock, then got to opening sites that I use. It seemed to take twice as long to load pages than my other browser, and tended to freeze sometimes when loading pages. The Youtube home screen took seemingly 10 seconds.

If he had just said, "Ad Nauseum hurts my site, but fuck ad networks, also here's my donation page if you feel like offsetting what we lose in ads," then Pale Moon would still be popular.

I'm also fucking mystified why web browsers of all things have so much code churn. What the fuck are they doing? Do they not know that they can run a linter on shit and call it a day?

The issue with web browsers may be that they are as complex as operating systems without being as modular as operating systems. If you could rip the guts out as easily as you could with all the parts of a Linux OS, then there would be dozens of web browser distributions.
