You need to add 5 more hard drives and use OpenZFS for Linux with raidz2 and 6 drives per vdev to increase the uptime statistics

This kind of file sharing only works within the home network, so when you're not at home you need to connect to it with a Vpn, which is what wireguard is for. My router has it as a built in functionality so it was pretty easy to set up
