ain't even coding at this point
before I had to understand shitty code chatGPT was giving me. Cursor fixes everything by itself with minimal guidance. I don't think anyone even needs to learn programming anymore.

Agree it will become niche like learning assembly

I don't know. I enjoy writing code, so I will continue to do so :)

Well, I guess when you're retarded you're not aware that you're retarded.

That is alright if all you do is "select * from" corporate shovelware. Anything beyond that it just smears shit all over your code. It gets to a point you have to write so many detailed instructions that you might as well just write the code yourself.

There will be a proliferation of Tea like apps that will usher in a new era of 2000s-like hacking scene.

I'm an actual no-coder and I'm genuinely scared to even try to use AI for anything serious. It's one thing if you ask it to write some tick-tack-toe app for you, and an entirely different thing if you want to use it to build a website or an actual program that does important stuff.

you're in denial. you are already obsolete.

Is this even surprising? Programming is literally no different or more cognitively challenging than assembling widgets in a factory for $15/hr.

Will proprietary software markets like videogames and play store apps see an indie developer boom do you think?
>>106202309
I'm with this anon. I think of you wanna make a videogame or note taking app for yourself, go for it, but not a password manager or browser.

I would be surprised if that doesnt happen in the next 5 years. Right now its still feels couple of generations away from allowing completely zero knowledge coders to make any apps they want. Although Replit & Lovable seem to be pretty close to making that goal happen

>note taking app
I'd even be a bit hesitant when it comes to notes. I've had Obsidian lose my notes before through file corruption. Thankfully, it has a robust automatic backup system and I make regular manual backups as well.

why is the troonix community like this?
