I support Xlibre but we also should support Hyperland because they have the potential to break the freedesktop bikesheding olympics by implementing their own incompatible wayland thigs that would get defacto standard by just the mere masses using it

More like "let's be silent till raging xtards go away to their protest forks then drop xorg".
It's like systemd all over again, the hype is dying down. Good luck with maintaining software with 1000 users for free.

this time is different systemd is all managing system wayland is a delegating system, for you to write lets say a bar you need to do it per compositor so basically redo code for 10 different compositors and their internal way of for example listing desktops.
In X11 we have EWMH and its mostly applied on all remaining window managers

sysvinit is old, systemd was made to replace it but went on to become the bloated and disgusting mess that it is today, devuan and artix were made to ensure innit freedom, it all comes together in the final act since there are better and simple alternatives.
i think xlibre should be welcomed, it was embraced already and it can represent the life and sustainability of x11 dependent stuff into the future, also a competition to wayland, ensuring no lock in.

I went back to windows. Open sores is cancer, as Ballmer said. Imagine thinking living in systemd/guhnome/wayland (can you even use your HDR monitors yet?) land is better than the OS that was made to handle all hardware.

It's only because opening the standard browser on Artix upon install will open all distro watch and other Artix boosting links
It's not good to do t b h, but still i appreciate their effort on Artix and understand they do what they can to survive and increase their numbers.

Apparently regression on nvidia, but works much better on mesa than before.

Don't need to be most popular to be better alternative. To be most popular you need to tip your toes into shit with foundations, conferences, and all politics that come from that. And all that will only invite troglodytes into your community, though with massive payment benefits.

I stopped using Debian after it went anti-white. I stopped using GNOME as soon as I learnt about the CoC.

I switched to OpenMandriva because I am here for the technical stuff, not the DEI.

Being against DEI isn't fascism, it's technical merit over identity politics.

Where did I say it wasn't political? Everything is political.

I don't like double-standards and a foot DE telling me it's ok to be opressed as a white straight man simply because in their belief system I'm the one holding the "privilege".

So I make the political decision of chosing a distro which doesn't see hatred towards my kind as legitimate.

Wayland is not comparable to systemd. Systemd had basically no effect on the typical user. I am pretty sure a significant portion of people have no idea what it even does. Wayland on the other hand fundamentally changes how a central part of the computer works.

Fellas, I got reason to believe Waylanders are sabotaging X right now by introducing subtle bugs in programs and refusing to fix them, like a copy paste issue crashing Krita on X, but working fine on Wayland.

Same goes for Wayland, just like systemd it runs in the background and typical user doesn't know about it unless something breaks. I tried switching between xorg and wayland on few debian instances and couldn't tell a difference.
