>>106202879
If ip address is a "nothingburger" to you why do you need Tor in the first place?

Are you retarded, anon? The guy in OP's article from 8 years ago was using Tor. Facebook and the FBI cooperated to exploit a vulnerability that was in the secure distro's video player to leak the culprit's real IP address despite everything being sandboxed to only use Tor. It was a very impressive security feat, but completely irrelevant to 2025 considering how long ago that was. The fact that no such thing has happened since implies the distro is properly secure (though pointless for daily use because it's live session only).

>child predator sting
So they destroy computer security for generations in the name of capturing the pedos refuse to build up computer security, all while simultaneously dedicating hundreds of FBI agents in 24 hour round the clock work force to redact the Epstein files, all to participate in a coverup to protect pedos.

I don't understand. Do FBI hate pedos or love them??

>Facebook had tasked a dedicated employee to unmasking Hernandez, developed an automated system to flag recently created accounts that messaged minors, and made catching Hernandez a priority for its security teams, according to Vice. They also paid a third party contractor “six figures” to help develop a zero-day exploit in Tails: a bug in its video player that enabled them to retrieve the real I.P. address of a person viewing a clip.
>There’s no clear evidence as to whether the FBI knew the exploit was developed in part by Facebook, leading one to wonder how forthcoming it was planning to be about its involvement. There are also obvious ethical issues with developing exploits in another company’s product, especially Tails, which was designed with the security of users including reporters, whistleblowers, stalking victims, and political activists in mind.

> Don't tell public that FBI uses exploits.
> Don't tell public about FBI partners.
> Don't tell the public about FBI practices and methodology.

There's a bunch of exploit development companies that do this shit for money. It's pretty simple; you pay them and they look for exploits. Most of them are israeli based.

literally no one has any obligation to inform anyone about vulns and exploits. "responsible disclosure" is a self-imposed obligation by whitehats.

somehow find it very unlikely they would go through all this trouble to get a child predator.

is this another case of fucking over the general populace by claiming it's to save the children or kill the terrorists?
