>>1062160711)writing code
as a Junior they told me "write a script in X language that does Y"
or "write an API that does X"
whatever
I didn't know the languages or the frameworks but got the job done fast
It would have taken a lot more time to do it normally, copy pasting stuff from google and stack overflow and modifying it
And it would have taken me even more time to do it the proper way study the language, framework and documentation
Sure I didn't learn as much this way, and maybe the quality is worse, but who gives a shit?
LLMs are just the next step after google and stack overflow, like stack overflow was the next step from books and documentation
And yes just like the quality of code reduced when people moved to stack overflow from books and documentation it will decrease again.
And?
If you wanna do it right for your personal project you can do it right and learn the hard way, but idgaf about company code.
2) Learning stuff. LLMs are the best teacher I ever had. Whenever I'm studying something and don't understand I ask ChatGPT, it explains in depth, evne more depth, step by step, provides examples etc. just like having your private tutor
