Well, there isn't a simple answer. As others have mentioned here, it depends on both your usecase and budget. I wanted one for simple emulation up to PS1 with lite shaders, content consumption, reading comic books and manga, studying classes and PDFs, and drawing with a cheap stylus, so for me something like the used Galaxy Tab A8 I got was perfect. Let's say you want one for heavier tasks and programs, or you need an active stylus, then the Tab A lineup doesn't cut it, so the Tab S FEs would be better for you. Oh, but what if you need HDMI output? Then it needs to be a flagship. You need a laptop like proportion, that'd mean you need the Plus or the Ultra. If you prefer Apple, the A16 is perfect unless you want to do more demanding things, then an Air would be better, the Pro in my eyes is a bit too much, except for a few people. Oh, you want other brands? There's a ton of 'em.
So ask yourself this:
>What's the budget I'll work with?
>What brands do I like and which ones do I hate?
>What smartphone do I have and do I want them to seamlessly interact?
>What tasks are a must for me and make me want to have a tablet in the first place now?
