I joined an alpha group tonight which cost $1000 to get in and there were several of us new members we got welcomed and they gave us a bunch of advice and then promoted us some coins. They all agreed on a coin to buy together and a second after I put in 15 SOL a huge red line appeared on the chart and I was kicked out of the group right after.
also I don't think anyone in that group was different people I think they might have all been the same scammer. I'm willing to hire a lawyer but could a lawyer help me get my money back?

While I have seen some lawyers post on 4chan, I don't think it's the best place to look for some. What state are you (and the scammer) in? I could look around for some in your area.

You got scammed for thousands. Report it to the police or whatever passes for anti-fraud regulators/advise in your country. Not a lawyer.
You're not getting the money back but best case is you have enough evidence (discord usernames?) to get the police to send a warrant to discord for IP addresses and hope they're stupid.
