Snaps actually allow you to run a lot of proprietary software that is normally not available on linux, so they are not that bad. IIRC you can even run something like fusion360 with it.

I found this file in my GNU+Linux Mint /etc/apt/preferrences.d directory. Perhaps it could of use to someone that is unaware:
