We got quantum computers cracking bitcoin wallets but WPA2 is still secure because...?

Where is this being done?

Unless if you have 80211w enabled in wpa2 (barely anyone does) then anyone around you can kick you off capture your handshake and offline crack your password

At least in wpa3 that can't happen.

Also, you need a quantum algorithm for cracking aes-ccmp for attacking wpa2

Bitcoin is based on asymmetric algorithm for signing. WPA2 is based on bruteforcing PBKDF (4096 iterations I think). Shor's algorithm doesn't speed up the latter.
t. just winged that answer

It depends on the password you use, but you can get the string that gets transmitted when you connect to your wifi with aircrack-ng, and then you crack it with hashcat and a wordlist.

Did you even watch the video you posted? That guy is shorting quantum computing because none of it can do that right now. He's been waking bitcoin with normal GPUs for months.

>Bitcoin is based on asymmetric algorithm
Not just any algorithm (((elliptic curve))) signing. The government just gives everyone a curve and says "yeah this one is good you can trust us."

Do you trust government curves anon?

why break the algo when you can just write the library instead? even better, you can then have your own version that actually works

Why do people encrypt the media?
>OOoh your neighbor might use your WiFi
Who *fucking* cares? You're all on the same network segment with the same ISP and chances are everything you do is just a TLS connection to the same fucking cloudflare edge box.

In extreme case because they use it to get kiddy diddle porn.
