I mean I literally got fired because I asked for a raise, I was on $100k which is fuck all compared to the industry standard, that guys intern probably gets more, despite introducing the Remote VAE thing for Diffusers which IMO is a brilliant idea and they could easily monetize it as part of HF Pro or whatever, I got absolutely fuck all support with that, they expected me to build a brand new user base for it, like they flat out refused to promote it as a HF thing, and I fixed so much fucking shit that they left rot, I only wanted a little bit more for personal reasons that I don't want to go into detail but to put it simply I was supporting someone I care about, I fucking can't now and I worry so much about what's going to happen to them now.

Florence-2 because it's fast, for videos you just run it on the frames.
The shot categorizer thing is a Florence-2 finetune, it works very well. The released dataset is actually the results from the model, the model was trained on the real dataset which is from Shotdeck and wasn't released for copyright reasons, but it's accurate enough that you can't tell the difference, iirc it got like 90%+ accuracy which is better than the ShotVL bullshit Qwen finetune for literally exactly the same kind of caption results because they used the same dataset
Shotdeck is owned by some Hollywood guy so the backwards provenance where we said the model was trained on the released dataset was just in case, I actually scraped it when I was at Stability as well when I was working with Joe Penna, Joe knows the guy who owns Shotdeck so he was cool with it though. I know from that time that Midjourney trained on Shotdeck, the owner said he tried some captions and got exact shots back

I know why they do this, actually. one of the things amazon did to streamline their delivery process was standardize the boxes sizes so they could more easily calculate, predict, and fill truckloads. so every product needs to fit into one of a very few options, because thats more efficient at scale for amazon
