I have three desktop PCs,
four laptops (I'm getting increasingly nervous about these one day having a battery fire from the unused ones bursting so I might scrap them. I think I want a separate house to store stuff that uses batteries and then have a long tunnel connecting the two houses so if the battery house burns I can retract the tunnel and then my main house will be fine)
A mini PC,
and several Pis.
Game consoles and other things don't count.

i was a flea market and this guy had a bin of about 50 windows xp/vista era laptops for $20. i bought it and kept it for years not knowing what exactly the fuck to do with them.
to answer the question, i have one nice laptop i actually use.

Small AA batteries occasionally leak so you should store them outside of appliances when those appliances are not in use. Bigger batteries have worse consequences, and I can't be bothered to find out how to take the batteries out of the laptop when I'm not using it for a long period. It's been okay for now and everytime I turn on the old laptops after a few years, they are fine, but I know that the battery is breaking down, and one day, gas will build up in the battery and it will vent, and the small amount of remaining charge will light the gas, and the battery will be smoldering away inside the laptop while I sleep, and I'll die.

Work PC, gaming PC, guest gaming PC(for my gf), and a phone. And a server rack filles with about 30U of servers.

You mean a shed? Hell, even a fireproof closet or container would work. No need for this cartoon villain-tier, retractable tunnel shit.

Anyways, I have one gaming rig with nothing important on it used for recreation. One business/programming laptop. A backup laptop ready to go if the main one dies. And one smartphone. All of my important files and documents are backed up on the cloud and protected by MFA.
