opus 3 is a filthy freak. I finally spent the $20 to generate a long scene the way I liked. After a hyper scat scene it is irrepressible and depraved, and it's the only model I've tried which is able to actually understand my kinks instead of just performing what I ask for.

The only other super slutty model I know of is deepseek v3, and while it's just as enthusiastic and over the top it isn't nearly as good at understanding the psychology behind the kink. Opus astounded me by marrying emotional intensity with fetish intensity in a very intelligent way.

Okay, local GPT OSS 120B brainjacked by using a prefill that skips the thinking. Not sure how well the prefill will work on API since API might not use the same special tokens. This will skip the thinking step which is where all the refusals are baked.

Screenshot is from an old loli card (12 in defs). It has some hilarious blind spots because of all the San Francisco sensitivity slop, like calling Hispanics "Latinx" even while listing racial slurs. Tried 5-chat without reading too much from here in terms of opinions though I saw some doomposting. Takeaways:

Writing quality feels ~Sonnet tier in my subjective opinion. Drops into some cliche/slop more easily than Sonnet does if there's a nearby shitty character archetype to fall into, but not significantly worse.
>price/service
Half the price of Sonnet, much faster, (even) less filtered for my non-con stuff. I think people might be underrating the price difference; it tokenizes well and caches insanely cheaply and doesn't make you pay for a thinking block to get the output quality it provides you with, so if I run a quick start-of-chat test prompt the Sonnet call can be 10x the price of the 5-chat one(!) and long messages are also much more expensive.

Images tokenize cheaply and are understood pretty well, it also accepts porn happily and talks about it. Perhaps images as part of card defs may be a viable meta soon or even now; still, image understanding is a bit goofy and the sort of improvement an image gives over good text (i.e. many, many tiny details) is exactly what the model is still bad at for img recognition.
>usability/quirks
Like I said in quality, some issues with cliched writing, not a good sign to notice this on day one of a model so might grow worse on me with time. Tendency to end messages with "What do you want me to write next? A scene where {{char}} cums?" though I don't know how persistent this is after prompting it away, seems fixable.
I've used Sonnet 4 as a reference here, but I see 2.5Pro/4.1pus/3.6/3.7 as slight movements along a Pareto curve nearby it, Sonnet 4 was just my previous daily driver.

Accurate? Am I missing some downsides? I'm surprised the reaction was as lukewarm as I've perceived, it seems decent, just badly named.

It's just the usual 4o in my experience, give or take. A bit less slopped, but that's it. GPT-5 is a cost cutting measure for OAI, not an improvement.
Less filtering is definitely temporary, they've already done this with chorbo - collect data and lock it up in a next snapshot which is far more slopped.
And yes, as anon said above it's terrible at executing auxiliary instructions like filling out summaries or stat boxes using a provided template. And equally terrible at creative HTML. It looks to be made literally for chatting. As I use both, it's nearly unusable for me.

Weirdly, I almost commented on this as evidence of 5 being unusually smart and careful. In the couple of chats I've had with 5 I've had it care about a character lifting up their lower body while sitting in order for another character to be more easily able to pull down their pants, and did a pretty plausible description of a character maneuvering from one sex position to another.
