The entire Indian game studio market is over saturated with unity and they target mobile games only because they find it to be very hard. Making PC games is beyond them, unless unreal or unity become more generic.
Making game engines is considered as a taboo because it won't be feature full within a year a two and with unity, unreal, godot readily available, any efforts in making game engines will be mocked by amateurs who'll instantly create a new project in unreal, show it to you and repeatedly tell you that you are wasting your time(talking from personal experience), like how AI chuds are shilling their progress.
