If I can still use Windows 7 with no issue in 2025, for sure you can still use Windows 10 for many years.

KDE and GNOME which are practically the only two desktop environments that matter and are actively developed, both consoom about the same amount of ram that W11 does on a normal full desktop install of say Fedora or Ubuntu. Linux is bloated too, if you want a functional and secure OS that looks good it's inevitable to have a lot of services and usage of resources.
