You either die a Windows 7 user or live long enough to become Linux Mint user.

I hate 7iggers as much as anybody else with a job and a life - but seriously loontroons, reflect on why they'd rather use a dead, 17 year-old OS than your IoT lightbulb OS.

Agree, and it only depends on when WINE will have better compatibility than Windows 7. For now it's still very very far.

Not with VxKex.

You reminded me how I used to do technical support for a very old man whom I had to guide through a very painful XP -> 7 transition.
I was wondering how the fuck was I supposed to migrate him from 7 to 10. And then he died.

I've found "insert disc/mount ISO, double click setup.exe" has worked pretty well since Windows 2000 or so.

Yeah, for me, not for him lol
Dude was pissed because his window customizations wouldn't translate 100% from XP to 7 even with the classic theme.

using a meme fork is not going to save you baby duck. What if those forks stop getting updated, what are you going to do then?

All those meme forks still work fine and for some reason cause exceptionally huge clitty leakage among people obsessed with someone's choices in regards to operating system.
> What if those forks stop getting updated, what are you going to do then?
Highly doubt that all of them will stop getting updates at once, but then I will just start using regular firefox with vxkex I guess.

will probably use browservice then, although old browser versions should work fine for long time in this case, since a while ago I tried a pre-sse2 release of firefox and most websites worked after changing default UA. Honestly we can just play verbal ping pong like this day and night. You will ask "what if X stops working", I will respond with "I will then use Y" and so on, but I don't think there is a point in it, since the situation in which all of those legacy-oriented projects would die instantly is less likely to occur than finding urinal in women's bathroom in early 70s.

0days affect up to date software as well + security updates don't matter if you are not retarded (don't expose your computer directly to the internet and don't download sketchy executables and you will be fine).

And only some of the software I like to use works on it. Ubuntu and Win10/11 are far better for my needs and uses. I did enjoy how hyper fast 7 starts up. You'd think it is a modern device running a modern OS.

Because they're Mexicans who are too retarded to use Linux

Linux Mint is trading awfully long to implement HDR.
