Is Debian 13 better than Ubuntu LTS 24.04.3?

Ubuntu. New Debian still have old packages.

Debian > Ubuntu (in my perception - keep that in mind. scientific freaks prefers Ubuntu)

my ubuntu can't run virtualbox reliably, bidirectional clipboard goes on and off whenever it pleases, so if I could choose I'd go with debian

Why would you ever use Ubuntu when you can use Debian?

Its all the same shit.
Same package manager, same debs, same systemd. The only real difference is that Debian doesn't have snaps. If you're not a retard about snaps, this can be a good/bad/whatever thing as snaps are more enterprise focused with up to date system level apps and not really great for desktop apps.
Since Debian's LTS comes out inbetween Ubuntu's LTS, it basically means you have one year newer packages, sans the kernel which is always less up to date then what Ubuntu offers.

Wildly better supported.
As in, bug fixes for packages are handled way faster as Ubuntu has actual corporate customers. Because of this, more things you install are "just werks".
I stick with (k)ubuntu for this exact reason.
The OSS community doesn't like to hear it but money does matter.

Never had that issue with Kubuntu, but KDE's clipboard handling is significantly more robust then Gnome's.

I hope not because being flushed down a toilet alive seems like a worse fate.

idk i use debian stable and i dont have any issues to begin with but ubuntu is probably fine too and it gets newer packages if you care
i personally like the fact that i can leave my pc off for a few weeks and come back to like 50 mb of updates instead of 700
