Lots of bad advice just thrown around lately.

using --cache-none effectly means that you must do every stage in a large workflow again even if you only changed something in the later stages. --cache-none might be ok for a small workflow that only loads wan but not when you have sdxl model, controlnet etc.

I mean you could restructure your workflow around in stages using a load image node but really its not convenient in a lot of cases. Ah i do think it might be ok if someone is willing to separate each stage of a workflow but i really think its a placebo because you're still gonna need to store all the models in ram or vram unless you also do.

Anyway that is my tip, i think it will fully unload the models so you can start fresh in the next stage of the workflow, but you're gonna need to save each stage. there is a node for this called 'Load Image (from Outputs)' and just disable auto refresh. Its actually exactly what is needed for taking the last frame and continuing the video without using custom nodes but could be used here for convenience because out cache you will need to either re-run everything again or copy and past image manually into a load image node.

and i only use native wan nodes as the kj nodes wanwrapper what ever always gives me oom then it does not clean it self up forcing me to ctrl-c and reboot, fuck kj that guy is retarded his offloading method is slow as fuck i hate it. Man and fuck comfy too because we only just recently got the ability to encode latents for wan so you could do video2video using the t2v model using native nodes, i use to have to use kj vae encoder and that piece of shit cause oom too because it does not respect comfyui's memory management or something.

I'll explain how it works and what it is. Firstly its the native blockswap and it just works, you will still oom if you go too many frames because they have to fit inside of the vram in order for wan to work it does its inference all at once and not in a sliding context fashion.

Secondly the --reserve-vram 1.0

note the number, 1.0 means 1GB which I find works the best, this just provides a buffer for the rest of your OS and applications that require vram. If you didn't use the --reserve-vram option then say open a web browser tab during genning then it will probably oom because its trying to use what the card says it has available up to the max.

This. Nothing can ever be as good as the hype that builds it up. So that should be the focus of the game. The buildup to whatever the user actually wants. Hell. Once you actually deliver it's not as exciting anymore.

maybe, but i didn't get good results and got fed up with testing, i don't think it works very well with some other lora's it don't play nice.

for example it changed a man into a woman on top of another woman with her dick going into her own ass and yeah fucking just pure garbage. the last low noise part uses fewest steps in anycase and really on my hardware there was very little change in speedup considering all the swapping going on. It shaved off maybe 10 minutes from 40... hardly worth it.

What are you feeding the initial noise in to?
The way the noise is produced is different depending on how many steps you set. K-sampler advanced lets you set like 20 steps and cut it off at 5. You can then send those 5 steps to a regular k-sampler at like 50/60% denoise with the LoRA on.

oh and those loras are big fuckers, its a simply too much of a pain in the ass to swap all that shit effectively on a low vram machine of 12GB. Having loras in the high noise and lora's in the low noise you have to be selective.

Hands down wan 2.2 using no lightx2v lora is fucking amazing, you just have to be prepared to wait but the results are better and worth it. Anyway I hope some one makes a decent accelerator for wan 2.2, they probably will its only a matter of time.

Here is res_multistep, but I used Heun at a high denoise on the final steps.

I set enable noise in first and return with left over noise. I start on step 0 and end on step 15, second sampler same type start step 15 end step 25. total steps is 25.

ah i might try that but i really doubt it would speed much up on my machine.

one thing i figured out is you can do video to video using the KSampler (Advanced) you just have to start on a later step, then it does not denoise the frames as much, its different to how ksampler works. Can you say my tiktok influences dance nude at the push of a button :D? I'm a fucking pev that is true.

I like the T2V model the most now actually since I've learned to prompt wan a bit better, it can do anything I2V can with good prompting and it also allows video to video gens. Think porn vids restyled etc.

Wan 2.2 T2V is also great for image genning, just tell it 1 frame only and up the resolution and steps, ad a porn based wan lora if you wan and it will gen just the same a any other image model.

that's your problem. from my experience the 2.2 loras don't work well at all. the 2.1 loras offer better motion, prompt adherence and coherence at +81 length. they can be hit or miss but also can wrangled with better prompting

After a few tests yeah, I think the tiny latent hurts output more than is worth the speedup. That being said, upscaling the latent before denoising on the low pass worked really really well.

The left k-sampler is not using the light LoRA and generates better movement as a result. I let it generate just enough to get the movement and then denoise from there.

It did not work out, it changes the frames composition and style too much, vace on the other hand is something i neglected and actually found its rather useful, this would be wan 2.1 though. So i'm working on a vace workflow which desu anyone can probably go find. Vace is I2V so it has to 100% de-noised, then you only have to play with the prompt, loras and vace model strength, the lower the strength the more the model kind of goes into T2V mode as in it changes the frames more.

0.45 strength is too little
0.55 the person is more close to the reference image but the movement is completely changed.
0.60 the person is more or less the same person, much has changed according to prompt and lora and most of the motion is retained

still testing it, testing for the sweet spot. Vace was never a really good model but it is what it is and going through all of the testing is teaching me more about how it works and how it could be used as part of a bigger workflow.

python could probably do a better job and would run on most OS with python installed. So the serious problem to over come would be downloading images and video at random or by most replies then random to pad it up.

yeah python can do that, python can download this page or any page and extract the nessary. Then one must interface with ffmpeg or some python tool before hand and it will be good. Such a script should take a url, then present some options to the user.
