power usage is not too relevant as long as you are not a faggot sitting all day in starbucks, plus the battery is user-replacable, unlike on macbooks. Most modern laptops are not noisy unless you have gaming laptop, or just refuse to clean it. Apple's CPUs win in certain benchmarks, but having a "better" CPU is not worth it when your entire laptop is inferior in every other aspect.
