Alright, finally testing these seeds on only the full BF16 versions of all of those Chroma versions fixes the artifact issues, most seen previously on the second seed girl's legs.

And it seems like the body horror is indeed mostly fixed on v50, but to me, it seems like the colors are a bit more "fake", especially seen in the color comparison of v48 vs v50 in the second and third rows. But maybe having such vibrant colors by default is how high end camera photos look like, I wouldn't know.

Hard to say what's the conclusion, even with body horror mostly fixed, I think the slop bled through into it too much and it lost the more realistic look it had.

I still think it is a good idea to go with v48 and fix it. Especially given the 1024x1024 resolution problems that also surely bled through many things.

It seems the problem with this was the res_multistep sampler, once it was switched to euler the artifacts almost disappeared.

And from more limited testing of that workflow it also seems like cfg 4.5 is a bit too high, 4 or maybe 3.5 seems a bit better for realism.

generative models are funny. every time a new advanced model comes out like qwen, it makes previous models look incompetent. but then we immediately start testing their limits and run into a completely new set of problems.

qwen is qualitatively superior to previous open models at prompt following and text. but it still can have lots of errors when you start pushing it. it doesn't help that I have to run it at fp8 or quantized, degrading quality a bit. and each gen takes ~2 minutes on my machine, so iterating on a prompt to get better results takes much longer too (unless iterating at lower steps with a distill).

Qwen is actually pretty bad at text. Any gen that tries to prompt for text is an instant artisitic failure. They shouldn't have automated their text portion of the dataset the way they did, by slapping badly photoshopped text over the image, and instead should have scoured the net for and augmented real world text examples like street signs, real t-shirts and book covers.

Also v50 looks like what happens if you go on photo editor and turn up vibrancy. At least to me, maybe you can get same colors as left if you turn down if you like it more. Just a matter of preference, no big deal. As long as v50 reduces artifacts, it's best imo, though v50 gens may currently be a tad bit more slopped compared to v48.

I definitely welcome more v48 training, as it struggles with multiple subjects I wouldn't say it's done.

How has SD.next been performing for people? I'm currently on a seemingly now outdated A1111, and I use comfy for wan.

Well, turns out that somehow it is possible for v50 gens to be noisy. I may have been mistaken. Many prompts are less noisy, but some are still very prone to it. It's possible that certain tokens or prompts have something to do with it. Less noise may have been a side effect of changing res and never something that went away,

1) use every frame from source video and insert "playing at half speed" or whatever it is (rounded) to caption

2) use every other frame for ~30 fps. interpolate 24 fps to 48 fps and use every third frame etc. so it's close to 16 fps

my personal guide is:
don't start from scratch, use the recommended workflows in the comfyui docs. then modify them when needed. and prefer built-in nodes wherever possible.

you do not need to fuck around with a schizo spaghetti monster to make gens, the "big, intimidating" workflows you have seen are made by the same kind of idiots who create spaghetti code with 20 levels of indentation and copy+paste everywhere.

the solution for this with anime models is to make the male a shota because black shotas dont exist

i have not run into this issue with video models. if anything I'm struggling to make the female tanned enough due to the lightning lora without going too far and activating the nigger training data. never had an issue on fusionx
