That isn't a printer, it is trash. It is literally designed to be trash and to sell you ink, which it needs to use all the time to not have the printhead dry out. These shitty desktop inkjets are objectively terrible.

Recommendations for good printers? I had one sent to me for free through my work and it turns out they have been ruined beyond all comprehension because it wouldn't let me physically connect it to my machine without downloading an app on a smarphone and scanning a QR code.

I tried doing it, but it didn't work so now I have a 5lb-ish paperweight taking up space in my apartment. My boss said I could just throw it away but I'm paranoid eventually someone from HR will ask for it back and she'll act like she doesn't remember saying that.

Anyway, are there any non-stupid printers left? Bonus points for if they print pictures still.
