Redpill me on these guys. I like their products but I find it suspect how /g/ never mentions them nor has commented on anything they've made or do.

Is there something I'm missing?

Really, really wide product line.
>some things they do well
>a bunch of things are "me too" and check-the-box products
All of the stuff glues together, sort of, under FortiManager.
They don't sell direct.
And their trainings are thinly-disguised sales events.
>you'll walk out with a vendor cert
>or CPEs
>but you have to endure a ton of slide ware and sales pitches
t. was a trainer for Fortinet

spent an hour or so today in a chat with on-site dude wondering why the fuck wont a brand new fortiswitch get recognized and listed at the switch management when plugged into another switch already in the network

it's enterprise gear, no one here buys their shit for their home except a small minority on /hsg/

I like fortinet. My home 'router' is a Fortigate 60f. It slaps ngl, you can do a lot of stuff with it and newer firmware is adding in even better automation tooling support. You can have it hit api endpoints or have things hit api endpoints on the fortinet. Shieeettt i use it as a credential server to redirect authenticated inbound traffic hitting my public IP to my DMZ webpage
