(Pic related) Is good.
I just installed it in Android Termux and it works great with Mpv for Android.
This thing is somehow way better than the shitty Lua hook, at least it seems that way. I may install it on my desktop too.

what stands out when you run it from a terminal? any errors? which source do you use for the mpv package? Arch repos or the AUR

mpv-git from the cachyos repo. i dont think this was an mpv update though, it's been a week or so since that updated.

Still happens with --no-config? Build it from source (mpv-git [AUR]) or switch to the official Arch package.
I've never had a problem with Cachy binaries myself but it's worth trying.

Nvidia driver quality is abysmal these days. It's a shame how bad it's got since version 52x when it used to be rock solid version after version. Had to roll back to that version every time I updated my system. Then one day an AMD card arrived in the mail...

yes, it has no memory of past downloads except what is in the directory you point it at
it would be interesting if it has an option to index what's in directory A and download what isn't there to directory B
go look for that
profile=high-quality

Is there a GUI/TUI tool to play videos/playlists from youtube using mpv, while simultaneously also synchronizing watch duration with my yt account ?

I basically want to replace Firefox for video playback cause it tanks performance when playing games while glorious mpv does not.

I'm aware of freetube but as far as I am aware it has it's own private video tracking system.
I'm using mpv with vaapi to play h264 files.
However when I increase the playback speed the cpu temps get hot and the CPU is being utilized.
What's wrong with this?
>>106264945
Ffmpeg has shit HTTP support. Advantages of Streamlink:
>I can force IPv4 / IPv6 without hacks like network namespaces
>It handles stream hiccups / disconnections gracefully (doesn't close your Mpv window and stop playing)
>Supports more sites (although admittedly I haven't tried it with anything other than YouTube yet)

Downisdes:
>Doesn't appear to work for VODs, it's very focused on live streaming
ffmpeg -i "input.srt.ttml" "2.ass"
ffmpeg -i "leftside dildo.mp4" -vf ass=2.ass -c:v libvpx-vp9 -an "rightside dildo.webm"

was this vibe coded?
>>106269406
Yes lol, I don't know how to code or even use Github, otherwise I'd put it there.
Anyway this took a LOT of time to finish, because every new feature would break something else, it would have been way faster if I knew how to code, but at the end it was worth it, it works just like I want it.
Is there a way to follow links inside kemono party?
Some posts have link to dropbox instead of being hosted on kemono party, and yt-dlp isn't downloading those

also, you should always attach a license to your software, otherwise its considered as "all rights reserved" (proprietary)
go release the full source code and slap a GPLv3 LICENSE file onto it

since when does windows support window embedding?
wayland doesn't btw, i use xembed with mpv in my web browser to play videos, because fuck js cancer, i want more than 2fps
i use mpv to play videos and view images in my matrix client, so i have less garbage i don't need (and better performance)

How come --image-subs-hdr-peak seems to work inversely for me? If I set it to the minimum possible value of 10 the subs are maximally bright, and if I set it to 10000 they are as dark as possible.
>>106275389
oh gawd, wtf
I haven't used yt-dlp in some months.
How do we download videos with yt-dlp now that Youtube is using a new security authentication procedure thing? I tried following the tutorial on the repo's github page, but I can only get that token bs to work for listing formats, I can't actually download any except lowest quality, smallest file. Infuriating.
Are we stuck waiting for the devs to sort this out?

Any better flags to use for watching a shitty sports stream (m3u8 playlist) in Mpv?

mpv --hwdec=vaapi --profile=low-latency --vo=dmabuf-wayland --untimed -v --load-scripts=no

It would stutter lots and complain about pts errors (why I added --untimed) before but now it's playing flawlessly.
>>106280620
>--profile=low-latency
Shouldn't you use fast?
>--vo=dmabuf-wayland
Switch back to opengl
>>106280676
Both work. I think low-latency contains some hacks that may or may not be worth it though. I don't know what any of these options do:
Profile low-latency:
audio-buffer=0
vd-lavc-threads=1
cache-pause=no
demuxer-lavf-o-add=fflags=+nobuffer
demuxer-lavf-probe-info=nostreams
demuxer-lavf-analyzeduration=0.1
video-sync=audio
interpolation=no
video-latency-hacks=yes
stream-buffer-size=4k
Profile fast:
scale=bilinear
dscale=bilinear
dither=no
correct-downscaling=no
linear-downscaling=no
sigmoid-upscaling=no
hdr-compute-peak=no
allow-delayed-peak-detect=yes

>--vo=dmabuf-wayland
>Switch back to opengl
Shouldn't dmabuf have lower overhead with VAAPI (as long as it's not vaapi-copy or vulkan-copy, which Mpv tried to do until I forced vaapi explicitly)
>>106279123

I\m straight and religious male. I seek attractive real female.
>>106280760
No vulkan and wayland are broken
I've tested this.
Low latency doesn't do much, fast is better for playing those.
You can try both if you want
>>106280763
you won't find that here ever, if you need that pointed you to you
>>106280783
Broken why? Are there issues about this?
I'm testing with x11egl for now at least:
mpv --hwdec=vaapi --profile=fast --gpu-context=x11egl --vo=gpu --untimed -v --load-scripts=no

It does seem to be stuttering less but could be placebo.
>>106280974
Try gpunext
>>106281081
Seems to work fine. What's the difference between --cache-secs and --demuxer-readahead-secs I notice in the Cache info that stream will play completely fine until readahead secs drops to zero.

Is this just the server being shit or can any tweaks fix that?
>>106281278
That's server side issue.
>-cache-secs and --demuxer-readahead-secs
It's a bit confusing but
cache seconds is decoded data in mpv buffer.
While demuxer is looking into raw data ahead
