As opposed to what? Do you think any of us learned how to properly express ourselves and communicate in this godforsaken language through some divine inspiration or something? You listen and talk - or read and write - and there by understand not just the language but the implications and social expectations in a conversation. If you're socially awkward (due to tism) and missed out on this the normal way by interacting with your peers while growing up, there's obviously nothing stopping you from later picking up the necessary social skills. Most people don't analyze why they are expected to behave in a certain way in specific situations, that'd be quite inefficient and more of an academic exercise. It really is only relevant for deeper connections and relationships.
