do not update your shit unless it says it fixes a specific problem you have with the product.
and even if it does say it fixes your issue, wait for other people to report that they actually fixed it.
you don't need them like security updates for your operating system, nobody is going to exploit a vulnerability in your wireless earbuds to steal your identity.
they almost always introduce a new problem that "accidentally" makes the product worse and they won't fix it because they want people to buy the new one.
t. lost a phone i liked because of pointless software updates that killed the camera's ability to record high framerate videos and 4k. lost earbuds to an update that made it heat up like crazy and dropped the battery life to 30 minutes.
