There's no "best linux" there's only one linux, use Xorg if you have a nvidia gpu.

Anything that isn't based on Debian/Ubuntu will drivers newer than 2 years old.

Pop OS (Ubuntu based) and EndeavorOS (pre packaged Arch) come bundled with Nvidia drivers. I'd avoid the Cosmic Alpha since it's a WIP, and I'd avoid the LTS kernels for EndeavorOS because it adds extra steps to get Nvidia drivers working.

I'm running CachyOS with wayland kde on hybrid graphics laptop and it works fine. T480 with mx150 dgpu

If you do not need HDR, use x11 and it won't matter. If I was in that situation I'd go with Mint because it's comfy unless there's something else you need
