i do a lot of political/outreach work in real life, trust me when i say the online space never was and never will be even an approximation of reality. back when because it was mostly educated people using the internet nowadays because the internet is more than 50% bot traffic.
this place especially is botted to hell and back, the current talking point is screeching cp that will change again in due time.
people in real life are fed up they just know better than to talk about it on the internet. governments are spending billions on propaganda campaigns, funny how you always hear about russian troll farms but never about the eu eastern stratcom for example.
anyways the point is none of this is organic or represents how people feel. they're losing grasp on power in real life that's why the botting has gotten so bad, to project power the only way they can, manipulate internet discourse with millions of sockpuppet accounts.
