KiB vs KB
If Troonix tards want to claim 1 KB = 1000 bytes then why do they insist on still using base 2 units instead of just going full metric system like MacOS ???

On a Mac, a 1TB HD size will show 1TB in size, not 931 "Gib" tranny pronoun terms Freetards like to use.

Literally who cares what Troonix lusers think?
It's just a forced meme they managed to get Shittypedia to swallow, because they literally can't do anything with their toy OS except run web browsers.

I like how standards are "tranny freetard" now. Consider removing your head from your ass before posting.

Nothing in your image has to do with loonix. 4chan isn't hosted on linux.

That's the point:

Windows will say 1 KB = 1024 bytes because they've been doing it since the 70's.

Mac will say 1 KB = 1000 bytes and use said base 10 units because they believe in it.

Freetards can't decide what they are so they come up with these retarded tranny terms like "KiB" "GiB" etc

At this point the only way to get trannies out of your head is to blowjob a shotgun. I suggest you do it immediately and we'll get a nice boost for the average IQ on this board. It becomes less gay, too.

Computers operates in binary form aka base 2. The metric system used by humans operates decimal form aka base 10.
2^10 is 1024, 10^3 is 1000.
IEC 80000 where units are displayed as KiB, MiB, GiB, TiB is a compromise between the two order of magnitudes, it uses the familiar metric prefix but applies the computer-friendly system of measure which is binary.
Unlike metric (KB, MB, GB, TB), IEC 80000 is unambiguous thus it is the superior one.

Apple switched from base 2 to base 10 in 2009:

Macs literally used to use the proper 1024 byte units but they changed it. Freetards also love to use 1000 bytes = 1KB. The two are on the same side.
Windows simply uses the proper units.
