If you don't care about the AUR, what exactly is wrong with it?

There is literally no setup. This is the distro to recommend to sane people, because I'm not getting my friends to install Fedora and paste a bunch of shit into terminal just to make videos work.

Manjaro was the only distro that worked for me. I tried all the popular ones before it, literally none of them could handle my 13 years old laptop graphics card. It would stay on and overheat it even when idling. They had 13 fucking years to figure it out, it's not like I wanted the latest hardware to be fully supported a week after it got released..
Manjaro got it working out of the box. It figured out which drived was needed and actually had it in its fucking repos when not even debian stable did.
I don't know if this should be counted as a win for manjaro, or a colossal fucking embarrassment for linux as a whole.

srsly whats wrong with just Arch? I mean you need to use iwd if u want to install on wifi i guess but apart from that; not being stupid or anything, I'm literally the normiest of normies and archinstall is just as easy as any GUI. I chose hyprland just because i want it but if you choose something like KDE or Gnome isnt everything basically pre-installed for you to just go at it?

not OP, and don't really use manjaro. But there's one thing appealing about it when compared to arch, they push updates back a couple of weeks. Let archfags beta test it, iron out the kinks, then downstream it to manjaro.
