/dcg/ - Dashcam General
recommend me a good dashcam, too many new drivers where I live, if you catch my drift.

To add to this, are there any good cameras to mount onto random places in case of a LEO planting evidence in my car?

Just get a camera thats like one of those uber ones where it records the front and the cabin

Backseat like police cruisers do. Hide it in the dome light. Make sure to get a sufficiently wide angle lens that has full view of both read windows. Solution >>106305227 obstructs this view because the front seats headrests

The redtiger one for $100 on Amazon is great. I fucked up the hardwiring but that’s not the cameras fault. It has good image quality even at night. It has a ton of features and settings I never messed with because I don’t need them. Also the packaging is really nice but that’s just a minor touch I appreciated because I like packaging design. I added the rear mounted one later but the bubbly tint on my back window blocks most of its view.

Ignore big brand shills there’s no difference internally.

I think it's effect of "long covid" and other stuff that has diminished the general quality of life and turned everyone into zombies.

Agree. I got this one because I didn't want to spend $500 on my 15 year old shitmobile. This works very well as a basic dash cam. Video is good, retard-proof soft install, good display on the rear showing the video feeds. The cons I have with it are:
>SD card storage (no cloud upload)
>technically functional but quite slow wifi signal to download video to phone
>read some reviews that said it overheats in the summer (had it for 2 summers, nothing yet)
