I swore by Windows Live Photo Gallery when I was on Windows 10, since it doesn't blur pixel art when zoomed in.

I stick with good ol irfanview. Wish built in spacebar preview was stolen from Mac OS to all other OSes, that’s really the best image viewer of all.

IrfanView for every case where ACDSee Classic lacks support for a new format. But since you're on Windows 10, "best" doesn't actually matter because it'd running on top of garbage.

XnView MP is the best I've found

-actively developed
-active community forum where dev fixes bugs
-actually designed for a mouse/keyboard
-can start multiple windowless slideshow instances at once with varying speeds/images/resolutions
-can set zoom in/zoom out algo separately
-can choose lanczos/spline/bicubic for zoom in/out algo
-searchable settings menu

FastStone and IrfanView are also have decent UI and are usable, but XnView MP is the best.

One to avoid is ImageGlass - shit UI, C#, that time the developer sneakily added malware/botnet stuff...

For comics and cbz/cbr, CDisplayEx is the best and you lets you use lanczos which really helps the manga diterhing look decent. YACReader is a decent alternative, but no lanczos scaling.

can vouch for XnView as well, on top of all said above it's cross-platform and the workflow for batch processing files is easy, no bullshit involved
to be honest I haven't ever attempted (nor needed) to batch process files over CLI, a quick web search says you're supposed to do that with NConvert which seems decent

qView is pretty solid.

it's similar to qview but better

Honeyview is the way to go.
I read ifranview is great, too. Honeyview just works, though, and has some really cool functions if you want more out of it, but otherwise, it is ready to go right after install.

This one. Heavily customizable and isn't trying to do ten different things poorly.

Another nice thing about XnViewMP is that it works with dual displays. View thumbnails on one, full image on the other.

Irfanview for lightweight , simple editing; Faststone for organising and viewing.

I didn't mind Xnview, but I still ended up installing a VM on my Linux machine just to keep it as I far prefer Faststone.

I'll give it a shot. I'm aware FastStone isn't the best (though it does most everything I need) but for some reason I just find the UI comfy and all other ones just don't feel as nice to use.
Anonymous No.106310449
Jpegview is great. Alternative image viewers are made by the autists so you can't go wrong with either of them anyway

Update. It's actually really nice and I think I prefer it to FastStone. Only complaint is I wish it had a gallery bar on the top like FastStone does. Then it would be perfect.

Risetto is ok but not as good as Irfanview. But since there's no Irfanview for Linux, it's the only option.
Wonder why no one yet has made an Irfanview clone for Linux.

Irfanview+plugins. It's fast, lightweight, scrolls through images in a folder, has advanced print options, and a signed installer. This puts it above many other options ITT.

HoneyView just fucking werksβ„’.

It's the mpv of image viewers. Just with less knobs to tweak, that's a good thing imo.
