Music players
What music player does /g/ use on their PCs? I recently uninstalled windows and decided to move on from Winamp (Wacup).

strawberry, a fork of clementine which itself was a fork or another player. Unfortunately clementine stopped getting any kind of updates. Whats worse is the dev of strawberry does release updates but never fixes actual problems. Further he puts the new builds behind a paywall like the insufferable faggot he is. At least on linux distros the player is still free. So every time there is an update, I check the bugs I have reported and bump each one saying it's still broken in X version.
I just want a simple player that I can sync a playlist of music to a USB for my truck and fiio.

The UI on these players is too ugly for me. I use Elisa, which isn't perfect but is better for me to look at.

Made a switch from AIMP about 5 years ago. Bee is insanely good, I love its customizability, it's easy to create various layouts, auto-playlists are handy, has a tab where I can check an artist for new releases. It's great

no, it's not a typo. mpv is the only app in the linux ecosystem that is willing to do ReplayGain for every file that has the necessary tags, whether those tags are officially part of the standard or not

I use Foobar still
Anytime I switch to something more modern I get overwhelmed and annoyed with all the bloat. I just need it to play music and use low memory while being cute.

Been meaning to listen to more music instead of sloptube and set out to try ncmpcpp today, got it working surprisingly quickly. Read about people pissing and moaning about it before..will have to fiddle with colors/font a bit but it's literally the "let me guess u need more" meme. Although...

Not sure I fuck with the tag editor it's been throwing me some errors at times that weren't very descriptive (neither were the logs). And the volume buttons don't work either but that's likely a misconfiguration on my end.

Is Kid3 a reliable metadata editor?
